Out of Sync - At the Abyss: Poems of Love and Living by Michael K. Miller
Collapsed into my bed, raining last night;
Blinded by a darkness, dreaming in sight…
(Wishing i could cover up ‘n’ touch once-in-time warms;
       Wishing, i should turn away ‘n’ turn off ardor’s alarms;
               Wishing i would, and erase all Her indelible charms…)

Yet tonight’s lightning recalls the charge
                    and flashes in lurid lines large,
                           over my carefully papered walls,
                           down my recklessly winding halls,
                                                    (into suppressed times
                                                      Her-sealed in sublime rhymes)

and i arch to meet this she’s thunderstorm…

           Then this last new shestorm’s gone—
                                         through—
                                  still…,
I wish for what no next she one has done…
              Wish for the coming of The One after this last one…

                         Wish for The Lightning that will Xtinguish
                                                                     Her still-burning sun…
